Kannur: The CEO of the controversial Ayurvedic resort in Kannur defended LDF convener EP Jayarajan stating that some individuals are trying to drag CPM leader's name by alleging he had illegally acquired property and built a resort. CEO Thomas Joseph alleged that the former managing director of the resort is behind the recent allegations levelled against EP Jayarajan. The CEO added that he would reveal more details in the coming days.
"EP (Jayarajan) has nothing to worry about. His name was dragged into the midst of gaining media attention. Vaidekam Ayurveda Healing Village is a hospital run by 20 shareholders. Jayarajan does not hold any share here. His son, PK Jaison, has a 2 per cent share and is the resort director. However, both are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the resort," he said.
Meanwhile, the statement from the resort CEO pointed fingers at a businessman from Thalassery KP Rameshan. It is rumoured that the same businessman was behind the recent controversy linking EP Jayarajan.
Earlier, senior CPM leader P Jayarajan accused EP of illegally acquiring property and building a huge resort and Ayurvedic establishment in Kannur. P Jayarajan also alleged that when he made the accusation earlier, some changes were made in the company, including director board.
The CPM leader alleged that EP Jayarajan’s wife, PK Indira and his son are on the director board. Property worth Rs 30 crore was acquired to build the resort and Ayurvedic village, he claimed.
