EP Jayarajan grabbed our activists by neck, alleges Youth Congress in complaint to DGP

Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress has filed a complaint to DGP seeking action against LDF convener EP Jayarajan for allegedly attacking two Youth Congress activists who staged a protest against Chief Minister inside a flight. In the complaint, Youth Congress alleged that Jayarajan and CM’s staff attacked Youth Congress activists Farzeen Majeed and Naveen Kumar who were travelling on the flight for a personal purpose.

The complaint filed by Youth Congress general secretary Jobin Jacob pointed out that Jayarajan grabbed the two men by their neck and tried to kill them.

In the complaint, Youth Congress also demanded to freeze further proceedings on the case registered against the two activists.

At the same time, Youth Congress is also planning to file a complaint with Civil Aviation Authority seeking to impose a travel ban on EP Jayarajan.
Earlier, MLA Shafi Parambil took to his Facebook page and declared the plans to file a complaint against EP Jayarajan. Following this, Youth Congress revealed the details of their complaint to DGP.

EP Jayarajan manhandled the Youth Congress activists when the flight landed in Thiruvananthapuram. He also grabbed one of them by the neck and pushed the duo on the flight. The Youth Congress men suffered injuries on head, neck and chest after falling on the seat and platform,” reads the complaint.

In the complaint to DGP, Youth Congress alleged that the local police ignored their complaint against Jayarajan and pointed out it as a serious lapse.
