Thiruvananthapuram: Left Democratic Front convener EP Jayarajan has come to the fore explaining the reason for his absence during the Raj Bhavan march against Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
“I could not participate in the protest owing to poor health. I had informed the party of the matter and obtained prior leave,” said Jayarajan.
“I have been facing some health issues since Covid-19 and am currently undergoing allopathy and ayurveda treatment. I, myself, had decided not to inform the media of the matter,” he added.
Jayarajan had taken leave for a few days from the party till November 6 citing health issues. He had attended the CPM state secretariat, state committee conferences held on November 5 and 6.
The leader had also penned an article elucidating the significance of the protest against the governor in the party’s pamphlet.
