Kozhikode: A huge blaze broke out near Kallai river bank at Muriyad around 4 am on Sunday. Two saw mills were completely gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire remains unclear though short circuit is suspected. Authorities estimate the fire resulted in a loss of Rs 1 crore.
Fire Force units from Meenchanda and Silver Hills stations are trying to douse the fire. No casualties have been reported.
