Thenmala: The sighting of a bison on the Aaryankaavu-Rosemala stretch has been creating panic among the people of the region for the last few days. The bison has been killed by a tiger. Native people who generally reach the place to capture the image of the bison returned empty handed.
A bison has been creating terror among the residents of Chappath in Raajakuppu for the past one week. The bison was sighted by those travelling in bus and by jungle trekkers. On Wednesday night, some travelers coming from Rosemala had seen the bison on the road.
Some mediamen and local people who came to the place to click the bison were taken aback when they saw the carcass lying on the road with insects and ants eating into the flesh. Local people confirmed the presence of a tiger in the area.
Some local people have spotted a tiger in the locality a few days back. People were scary to travel through the way fearing the tiger. Forest authorities said a camera would be installed in the area.
