Minister reiterates rabid dogs be killed


Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Local Administration K T Jaleel reiterated that dangerous and aggressive stray dogs can be culled. The minister said an affidavit submitted by the state in the Supreme Court not to cull rabid dogs was only to avoid legal tangles.

The minister added that he is of the opinion to kill the stray dogs that are dangerous to the society and the law permits this. At present, the local self-government and the commonman too are doing their best to deal with the furious dogs, he said.
