Jose K Mani met Amit Shah early this year: Antony Raju

'The meeting took place in the presence of a Bishop from Gujarat'

Thiruvananthapuram: Janadhipathya Kerala Congress leader Antony Raju on Saturday said that Kerala Congress leader and MP Jose K Mani held talks with BJP president Amit Shah early this year. The revelation comes at a time when Kerala Congress leaders are heading to Charalkunnu camp for a crucial meet.

Antony Raju alleged that Kerala Congress chief K M Mani aims to ally with the BJP-led NDA and thus ensure a ministerial post for his son Jose K Mani at the Centre. He said that the meeting was held early this year in the presence of a Bishop from Gujarat.

He further noted that Mani and his party members are using the bar bribery conspiracy allegations as an “excuse” to desert UDF. Mani would not have complained about a conspiracy if UDF had come to power after the Assembly elections.

The brain behind the bar bribery conspiracy is not Ramesh Chennithala, but a more senior leader, Antony Raju said, adding that the internal probe report submitted by the party has the names of the ‘conspirators.’ If the report comes out, the UDF will disintegrate. Also, if Mani leaves UDF for NDA, the Kerala Congress will split, he said.
