Puttaparthi: Minister for Local Self-Governments and Welfare of Minorities KT Jaleel has said it is important to grow beyond narrow religious understanding and to embrace 'Unity In Diversity' in its truest spirit.
The minister was speaking on the Kerala New Year 'Vishu' at Prasanthi Nilayam in Puttaparthi on Friday.
Jaleel said that religion is not for religion, but for man and India has always embraced multi-religious faiths.
He reminded the audience that man becomes true man when he understands that every path leads to the same Goal.
Not concealing his feeling for Puttaparthi, being the place that is hosting a 'cash-counter-less' hospital aimed at public welfare, the minister hoped that his state of Kerala also will have one of the same stature.
