Kochi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a fresh summons to former Health and Devaswom Minister and Congress legislator VS Sivakumar to appear at the ED office for interrogation in connection with a probe into alleged financial discrepancies and black money dealings that happened during his period in the office between 2011-16. He has been asked to appear before ED's Kochi office on May 29 at 11 AM.

It has been alleged that Sivakumar amassed wealth illegally and diverted it to his close associates. ED earlier summoned him on April 20. However, he had delayed the questioning citing personal reasons.

In 2020, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) of Kerala raided his house over the same charges. VACB reportedly find anomalies and a case was registered. ED’s intervention comes in the wake of a preliminary probe on the matter.
