ED seeks details of 4 govt projects after Sivasankar’s arrest

Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate has sought details of four major projects undertaken by the Kerala government after interrogating M Sivasankar who is under arrest. It is reported that projects including Downtown, K Phone, E-mobility and Smart City have come under the scanner of the ED.

M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to Chief Minister, was arrested over money laundering case. It is reported that he took initiative for these projects.

Observing this, the ED has decided to initiate a probe and wrote a letter to Chief Secretary seeking details of these projects.

It is learned that ED has asked the Chief Secretary to submit MoU of the projects and details of the land acquired for it.

Earlier, ED has sought details of Life Mission Housing Project, supervised by Sivasankar. Following this, investigation extended to other projects also.

ED has been interrogating Sivasankar, who was taken in custody, from the last 4 days. The probe is being extended to collect details of his assets also.

It is learned that ED will take further action after obtaining a reply from the government for the letter seeking details of the projects.
