Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice to M Sivasankar, former private secretary of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, directing him to appear for questioning in connection with the alleged irregularities in foreign aid received for the LIFE Mission housing project.

He is summoned to the ED office in Kochi on Tuesday. The case involves the alleged violation of foreign contributions by the UAE Red Crescent in the state government project.

Earlier, the agency had recorded the statements of Swapna Suresh, Sarith and Unitac owner Santhosh Eapen in the case. They alleged that Sivasankar intervened to get the Life Mission contract for Unitac. Further, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) had alleged that the former private secretary to Kerala CM accepted a large sum as a bribe from the builder.

He will also be quizzed over money seized from the locker.

Meanwhile, Sivasankar has requested rescheduling the timing as he is retiring on Tuesday.
