VS Sivakumar

Kochi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a summons to former Health and Devaswom Minister and Congress legislator VS Sivakumar to appear at the ED office for interrogation in connection with a probe into alleged financial discrepancies and black money dealings that happened during his period in the office between 2011-16.

He has been asked to appear on April 20. ED has also sent a summons to his then-private secretary over the same matter.

It has been alleged that Sivakumar amassed wealth illegally and diverted it to his close associates.

In 2020, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) of Kerala raided his house over the same charges. VACB reportedly find anomalies and a case was registered. ED’s intervention comes in wake of a primilnary probe on the matter.
