Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala chief minister’s former principal secretary M Sivasankar, who has been arrested in the LIFE Mission scam case, is not cooperating with the interrogation, claimed the arrest report of the Enforcement Directorate. Sivasankar is attempting to mislead the team, ED stated.

According to ED, the chat history and evidence of transactions collected from his mobile phone are sufficient to prove Sivasankar’s involvement with the case.

ED has demanded for the custody of Sivasankar alleging that certain matters related to the LIFE Mission transactions are only known to him.

Sivasankar has been enlisted as the fifth accused in the LIFE Mission case. Following the arrest, his medical examination was conducted at General Hospital in Ernakulam and brought to the ED office later. ED will produce him at the court and seek custody.

A team under the central investigation agency had questioned Sivasankar for three days. He was arrested on Tuesday night. However, the officials have stated that the accused is not cooperating with the investigation.

Reportedly, the statements collected by ED from the other suspects, including UNITAC Builders MD, Santhosh Eappen, diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh and PS Sarith have led to the arrest of Sivasankar.
