“Mobilisation advance is done by this government and all previous governments. That is the case charged against me. The contractors and officials are responsible for the misappropriation of cement and metal,” he added.

Kochi: Former minister V K Ebrahim Kunju, who was arrested in connection with Palarivattom flyover scam case, claimed that he is innocent and that his conscience is clean. “I would have filed an anticipatory bail plea if I felt the slightest guilt in my subconscious mind,” he told the media.

“Mobilisation advance has been granted by this government and all previous governments. That is the case charged against me. The contractors and officials are responsible for the misappropriation of cement and metal,” he added.

Ebrahim Kunju also said that he was not aware of the arrest and asked how he would know about a secret plan. He added that if a government plot to make a person guilty and if there are an SHO and a writer who act in favour of the government, anyone can be arrested and trapped.

It is the party that takes decision about contesting the assembly election. The party leaders and the front decide about the election. Whatever the party asks me to do, I will obey them, Ebrahim Kunju stated.
