E- ration card scheme inaugurated in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: The distribution of E- ration card scheme has begun in Kerala. The scheme was started in Thiruvananthapuram North city stationing office limits on an experimental basis. It was inaugurated by minister P Thilothaman.
He said that double the food items are distributed via ration shops since the pandemic hit the state.
E-ration cards can be printed and used, similar to E- Aadhar cards. Online applicants will receive a pdf version of the E- ration card. The applicants can pay the application fee via the E- treasury facility. The application can be filed through Akshaya login or through Citizen login.
The inauguration was attended by VK Prasanth MLA, Councillor Dr. Reena KS, Food Department Secretary P Venugopal, Director Haritha V Kumar, Pathanamthitta Collector N Tej Lohit Reddy, IT Mission Director S Chandrasekharan among others.
