Thrissur: Kerala MVD will soon adopt a new approach that will ease complications when a differently-abled person applies a driving licence.

Transport Minister Antony Raju said that Motor Vehicle Department would adopt a new system that allows applicants to determine the place of their choice to conduct learner’s and driving tests. The MVD officials will also meet the applicant in person if necessary.

Antony Raju said an official order will be issued within a week. Currently, around 25 such applications are pending before MVD in Thrissur. Minister directed officials to conduct driving tests in a gap of 2-3 months for such applicants based on the number of applications.
