Kottarakkara: The Crime Branch (CB) on Tuesday got a five-day custody of the accused in Dr Vandana death case. Kottarakkara Magistrate Court remanded the accused Sandeep.

Adv BA Aloor appeared for the accused and argued that the person shall not be sent to CB's custody for evidence collection as the surgical scissor used to attack the victim was recovered from the crime scene itself.

Aloor alleged that the accused was denied treatment after he attacked the doctor. He cited the injuries and other health issues of Sandeep to corroborate the argument.

However, the court approved the CB's request for custody for further investigation.
