Palakkad: Dr R Prabhudas, who was transferred from the post of the superintendent of Kottathara tribal hospital in Attappady, asserted that he stands firm on his previous allegations.
Prabhudas had criticised the government saying that they care about Attapadi only when infant deaths take place. The comment was made following Health Minister Veena George’s visit to the place.
Prabhudas said that he will definitely submit the evidence over his allegations, if the government is willing to launch a probe into the matter. He had also accused the members of the hospital management committee of asking bribes to pass bills and claimed that he was transferred for trying to stop this.
'The barriers to renovate the hospital in Attappady from the time I joined in the service remain unresolved. I'm fully satisfied in the duties I performed as a doctor there and receiving the government’s award for the best doctor proves this. If I get punished for working for the development of the hospital of tribals, I'm willing to accept that too,' Prabhudas added.
