Mundassery Award for Dr M Leelavathy


Writer Dr M Leelavathy has been awarded this year’s Mundassery Award for her contributions in the field of literature and culture. The award includes Rs 50,000, a citation and a sculpture designed by Karakkamandapam Vijayakumar.

Thiruvananthapuram: Noted Malayalam writer and educationist Dr M Leelavathy has been selected for Mundassery Award instituted by Mundassery Cultural Study Centre for her comprehensive contributions in literature and cultural field.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a citation and a sculpture designed by Karakkamandapam Vijayakumar.

Meanwhile, Dr Akhila S Nair has been selected for the award given to young writers for scholarly literature that reflects logical thinking and scientific awareness.

The award for the young writer includes a cash prize of Rs 10,001, a citation and a sculpture.
