Kottayam: Sitting MLA of Poonjar P C George said that he does not want to win the election from Poonjar by obtaining votes from extremist outfits. P C George reacted after he faced heckling at a campaign venue in Erattupetta.
“There are only very few extremists here. They had helped me in the previous election. Then I was unaware that they were religious extremists. I don’t want their votes. I make it clear that I have no plan to become an MLA getting votes from extremists, P C George told Mathrubhumi News.
Soon after the protest at Erattupetta, P C George had stopped campaigning there. P C George added that this time no party would get majority and then the people of Poonjar would decide who should rule the state.
