Shamseer on taking charge as Kerala Speaker
Thiruvananthapuram: A N Shamseer, who was elected as the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly on Monday, said that the day marks the beginning of a new chapter in his life. He reacted through a note on Facebook. The post leads with a quote by the famous novelist George Eliot, ‘Don't judge a book by its cover’.
“My political life is ascending to a duty that requires much importance. I will try to do my best to raise the glory of the Kerala Assembly further by putting to use my political life of all these years and the six years of experience gained from the Assembly,” Shamseer noted.
He also added that he expects love and cooperation from all as he embarks on this new journey.
Shamseer, LDF MLA from Thalassery took charge as speaker in the Kerala assembly on Monday after defeating UDF MLA Anwar Sadath by 56 votes in the election.
