Wayanad: With heavy rains come the deluge of questions from school students asking if it is a holiday for schools the next day. The comment boxes and DMs of district collectors will be filled with the queries from these curious lot. But something contrary to the usual ritual took place yesterday. Wayanad district collector A Geetha shared the screenshot of a girl’s mail requesting classes on Wednesday.
The collector wrote -
“Received the mail from class 6 student Safoora this morning. She says that it is hard to stay at home for 4 continuous days and requested that the school reopen on Wednesday. How clear that message is!”
“Our children are smart and their world is vast. They are able to see past the stars and beyond. The future of our homeland and this world is safe in their hands.”
