Don't forget Shanmughadas model; new faces should contest polls, says Peethambaran Master

It was the continuous effort of NCP and Mani C Kappan for 20 years that reduced the majority of K M Mani and then won the seat in the bypolls. When we won the seat after 20 years of effort, there is no logic in raising dispute over it, he said.

Kozhikode: NCP leader T P Peethambaran Master stated that the party would not exist if youngsters are not elected as public representatives. The people and party workers want new generation to be fielded in the election. Also developing the next generation of party workers is essential for existence. The party workers are of the opinion that one person should not continue as MLA and minister forever, he added.

Peethambaran Master reacted in this regard while the dispute over Pala seat intensifies. No one should forget that it was A C Shanmughadas who gave chance to A K Saseendran to contest the polls. However, he did not answer the question if they want to field a new candidate replacing A K Saseendran.

The party workers want NCP to contest from the four seats in which we have been contesting for a long time. Pala, Elathur, Kuttanad and Kottakkal are the sitting seats. The party has not planned about exchanging seats. Nobody has thought of it. Why should only NCP compromise on its seats, he asked.

It was the continuous effort of NCP and Mani C Kappan for 20 years that reduced the majority of K M Mani and then he won the seat in the bypolls. When we won the seat after 20 years of effort, there is no logic in raising dispute over it, he said.

The victory in Kottayam was a credit for LDF. There is no point in giving preference to Jose K Mani. Some more seats were won in Kottayam. Pawarji said that Pala seat should not be handed over. Continuity of governance is possible if all allies reach consensus, Peethambaran Master said.
