Thiruvananthapuram: Minister K T Jaleel raised harsh criticism against Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami. He put up a Facebook post after news reports, regarding the Customs seizing the phone of the minister's gunman in connection with the gold smuggling case, surfaced.
In the post, Jaleel said that the League should not compare him with their leaders. The leaders of League, BJP and Jamaat-e-Islami are used to lead luxurious life with the money of others. But they cannot think that everyone else belong to the same category. People of LDF are not that kind, he added.
They campaign that my gunman's phone was seized to collect crucial evidences. But I'm confident that they cannot find things that do not exist. Then CM and other ministers of UDF government might have engaged in dirty business using phones of others. The decency of League and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders will turn out to be fake if their accounts are checked, he stated.
I am fully aware that I have not committed any mistake. So, I don't have to fear the probe agencies. The investigation into any gold smuggling and hawala transaction will reach to the Jamaat-e-Islami, League and BJP leaders. It would be better if they don't compel me to reveal more, Jaleel said.
Any agency can conduct a thorough checking into the account details and phone records. I have already given consent for the same and I repeat it now. Those who have not done anything wrong need not fear the probe, Jaleel stated in his Facebook post.
