Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday prevented the arrest of former IT Secretary M. Sivasankar, who was accused in the gold smuggling case, until October 23.
The order has been issued in connection with the case registered by the Customs department. The HC will consider the case again on October 23.
The IAS officer had moved HC seeking anticipatory bail on Monday. In the bail petition, Sivasankar had sought to consider the matter on the same day itself.
