Thiruvananthapuram: As part of their protest demanding response from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the dollar smuggling case, the UDF on Friday created an ‘anti-corruption wall’ outside the Kerala Assembly here.

The Opposition had earlier boycotted the assembly proceedings as the chief minister did not respond to the allegations.

The CM's silence increases the worry of the people. He must open up, Opposition leader VD Satheesan said.

The opposition MLAs started shouting slogans when the question hour started on Friday. They also displayed a banner demanding CM’s answer on the matter.

Finance Minister KN Balagopal mocked that the Opposition is boycotting the proceedings becasue VD Satheesan has to go to Delhi.

The UDF on Thursday had made a failed attempt to move an adjournment motion on the same issue and later held a parallel session outside the Assembly building in which they ‘passed the motion’.
