Kochi: The Customs is likely to interrogate Minister K T Jaleel again on Thursday.
The move to interrogate the minister comes soon after the Customs charged a case in connection with the distribution of religious texts which were brought through diplomatic baggage.
Earlier, Jaleel was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) with regard to the same incident.
It is learnt that the Customs officials will summon the minister to their office in Kochi on Thursday itself. They are investigating if any sort of smuggling took place under the guise of delivering the religious texts.
The NIA had raided the headquarters of Kerala State Centre for Advanced Printing & Training (C-apt) as the religious texts were carried in the vehicle of C-apt. The owner and driver of the vehicle, in which the Quran was taken, were also quizzed by Customs.
There were 32 packets in the vehicle. The probe agencies had found out that the GPS system of the vehicle was not functioning. Amid this, the Customs decided to question the minister.
