Thiruvananthapuram: Along with salary, disbursal of pension also came to a halt in KSRTC. The management could not disburse the pension usually given on the fifth day of each month.
The officials informed that the procedures to hand over the money were delayed last month. Though the Department of Finance allocated Rs 70 crore to distribute pensions on time, the proceedings to entrust this amount to different cooperatives have been slowed down.
Rs 37.5 crore more was required to distribute the pensions last month. Rs 82.5 crore is needed for distributing the pension of last month.
