Thiruvananthapuram: The discussions on seat allocation in UDF will commence officially on Thursday ahead of the assembly election. The first meeting will be held with Kerala Congress PJ Joseph faction and RSP. PJ Joseph said that they want 15 seats in the election. RSP also will demand more number of seats.

Many of the allies are targeting the seats which fell vacant after LJD quit the UDF and the seats which remained after Kerala Congress split. Though the party split into two factions, Joseph demanded that they want all 15 seats they were contesting earlier.

PJ Joseph will demand the seats pointing out that they are not claiming more seats though many have fallen vacant. However, Congress will request them to cooperate as NCP and PC George are likely to join the UDF soon. RSP stated that they want at least one seat extra. Currently, they have been given five seats.

Forward Block which joined the UDF recently has demanded one seat in Kollam and Alappuzha districts. Muslim League which currently holds 24 seats is trying to get at least two more seats by bargaining with the UDF leaders.
