Kozhikode: IUML leaders raised varying opinions regarding allegations of acquiring illegal property against LDF convener EP Jayarajan. Though IUML National general secretary PK Kunhalikutty asserted that the accusation surfaced against EP Jayarajan is an internal affair of CPM, former general secretary KPA Majeed opined that the Muslim League cannot be silent against this ‘injustice’.

KPA Majeed urged the Chief Minister to respond to the issue as the financial source behind the construction of the resort remains a mystery.

Meanwhile, Kunhalikutty said that the allegations against EP Jayarajan are internal matters of CPM and the League has no comments. However, a section of Muslim League leaders are dissatisfied with Kunhalikutty’s remarks.

In a Facebook post, KPA Majeed pointed out the alleged violations of environmental rules by EP Jayarajan to construct the resort. “The Ayurveda resort which was constructed by levelling a hill and exploiting the water resources have been situated in Morazha, a significant location in the history of Indian Independence. The hill spread across 10 acres was completely levelled for the construction. The Sastra Sahitya Parishad activists have been driven away for raising objection,” Majeed’s Facebook post read.

This was done by the same municipality which drove an expat to suicide by refusing approval for a conventional centre which he built by investing all his savings. No red flags were raised to impede the construction works of EP’s resort”, alleged KPA Majeed.
