Kannur: Mambaram Divakaran has been expelled from Congress for violating party code of conduct. KPCC general secretary TU Radhakrishnan informed the decision of the party.
Mambaram Divakaran is contesting in the election to Indira Gandhi Cooperative hospital society in Thalassery from the panel which is against the official panel approved by the Kannur DCC. Divakaran is the current president of the society. Party cited it as a severe indiscipline on his part and decided to expel him from the party.
Earlier, Divakaran and K Sudhakaran had come face to face in the Brennen college controversy. Divakaran had condemned the statements of Sudhakaran and asked to maintain a certain level of maturity.
