Kochi: Actor Dileep, accused in actress attack case, rubbished director Balachandra Kumar's allegations who said that the actor had watched visuals of the attack at his house. During the hearing on a plea seeking cancellation of Dileep's bail, his counsel questioned the prosecution's argument.
"How could he watch the visuals of attack at his house where his aged mother, wife and sister are living? It is impossible," said Dileep's counsel B Raman Pillai.
He also claimed that there is no evidence to prove that Dileep tried to influence witnesses in the case.
The final hearing into the plea seeking cancellation of Dileep's bail will be held on June 18.
Meanwhile, the prosecution submitted the forensic examination result of the pen drive produced by director Balachandra Kumar before the court. The forensic team could not confirm the date of the conversation recorded by Balachandra Kumar, the prosecution informed the court.
Additional public prosecutor KB Sunil Kumar pointed out that Dileep had violated the bail conditions and tried to influence witnesses in the case. He added that voice clips submitted before the court justify the argument. He also argued that Dileep had destroyed major evidence from his phones.
Though the probe officials asked Anoop and Suraj to submit their phones over the conspiracy case, the duo didn't follow this order. Hence, the probe team will request the court to issue an order again.
