Kochi: Actor Dileep informed the High Court that he did not try to influence the witnesses in the actress attack case. The remark came while Kerala High Court was considering the Crime Branch's petition seeking cancellation of the bail granted to him.
"The prosecution produced some old documents before the court to claim that Dileep tried to influence witnesses in the case. It is not right to level an allegation based on the statement given by Dasan, a former servant in the actor's house," Dileep's lawyer said.
The defendant's lawyer also asked the court not to consider the petition filed by Crime Branch. Meanwhile, the court had earlier heard the view of the prosecution in the case.
