Thiruvananthapuram: Former Vigilance Director and now Chief Information Officer Vinson M Paul has revealed that he didn’t instruct to exclude former Finance Minister KM Mani from the probe into the bar bribery scam case.

Talking to Mathrubhumi News, he said that Vigilance had no evidence against Mani in connection with the case.

Reacting to the question about the allegations that he instructed to exclude Mani’s name from the bar bribery case charge sheet, Vinson said that the controversy was created politically.

Nobody took interest in studying the file and finding facts. After a detailed probe, it was found that there were no witness statement or documental evidence against Mani in the case, Vinson added.

Meanwhile he also said that it was his statement regarding the ‘S’ shaped knife in the Paul Muthoot murder case that led to such a huge controversy.
