Thiruvananthapuram: It is unfair to blame K Sudhakaran for the murder of SFI leader in Idukki engineering college, Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan said here on Tuesday. He was reacting to the comments of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan that Congress resorted to violence after the elevation of Sudhakaran to the helm of KPCC.

It was not a planned attack. Congress or UDF will not justify it or support the culprits. However, if police start to charge innocent Congress workers based on CPM's instruction, we will defend them, Satheesan said.

The Congress leader condemned the attacks on KSU workers in Maharajas College, Ernakulam, and accused SFI of perpetrating violence across campuses in the state.

CPM trains its cadres to kill people. They are well trained than terrorist organisations. They must tell its students organisation to end violence on campuses, he added.
