DGP orders to remove religious symbols from police vehicles

Thiruvananthapuram: Director General of Police Anil Kant has issued a directive not to use religious symbols in office vehicles. All such things should be removed by 5 pm on Thursday, he said.

The driver and the officer who use the vehicle will be held responsible if the order is violated.

A video of a police vehicle with religious symbols on its rear went viral on social media. An internal investigation into this has started.
