Thiruvananthapuram: A deputy tehsildar has been sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 16.5 lakh for sexually abusing his daughter.
The POCSO court here delivered the verdict on Wednesday. The survivor was 10 years old when the incident happened in 2019.
Her teacher noticed the change of behaviour as the studious girl started to show disinterest lately. The incident came to light when the teacher enquired her about her studies.
Pangode police registered a case and arrested the father.
