Deleting and adding name in ration card is no more a herculean task. Adults can apply online on their own or approach Akshaya centres. This benefit can be availed by those who are shifting houses for work purpose. No more cardholder consent is required to delete name from the existing ration card.
By visiting the official website of the Department of Food and Public Distribution using http://ecitizen.civilsupplieskerala.gov.in, the ‘citizen’ button should be clicked and a citizen login ID and password should be created. The Aadhaar and ration card numbers are required for this process. Then proceed by clicking on the option to delete the name from the existing ration card.
