Decision on lifting of lockdown after Centre’s final call: Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said that Kerala will decide on lifting the lockdown after the Centre lays out its decision.
He was speaking to the media at a press conference after the COVID-19 evaluation meet.
“The 21-day lockdown in the country was imposed by the central government. Their decision on lifting the lockdown is yet to be known. Kerala will then decide on whether to act according to Centre’s plan or to decide on our own,” CM said.
Answering another question, CM said that the report submitted by the government-appointed task force, to prepare guidelines for the post-lockdown situation, is not for the state government to consider.
"The Prime Minister had instructed to send the report to the union government which has been done," he added.
