Deceased Irfan

Thiruvananthapuram: Hours after a 17-year-old boy died at Perumathura here on Tuesday, the family of the deceased raised allegations against his friends and accused them of the death. The person who died is Irfan, the son of the couple Sulfikar and Rajula.

According to Rajula, one of Irfan’s friends came home by Monday around 6 pm and both left. By 7 pm, one person reportedly abandoned Irfan near his house. He reached home and showed uneasiness. The boy later vomited and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The family had a suspicion that the friends made him inhale some drug and they reportedly conveyed it to the doctor at the hospital. He was given primary treatment and was taken back home. However, his condition worsened around at 2 am on Tuesday. The family tried to rush boy to the Medical College, but he succumbed.

Meanwhile, police have initiated a probe over the matter. Officials are waiting for the autopsy report to know the cause of death.
