Thiruvananthapuram: The relatives of the models who died in a car accident at Kochi raised their suspicion over the involvement of No. 18 hotel owner Roy J Vayalat. The deceased Ansi Kabeer’s relative Naseemuddin revealed the family’s demand for initiating a CBI probe in the case.

The electronic devices might be destroyed to conceal what happened at the hotel. The evidence indicates that Roy has direct involvement in the incident. Roy might have tried to intoxicate the girls with liquor and the accident might have happened while they were trying to escape from it. Attempts were made to save Roy from the cases, said Naseemuddin.

The recent complaint filed against Roy Vayalat by a girl and her mother from Kozhikode accuses him of sexual assault at the No. 18 hotel in October. Roy’s friends Saiju Thankachan and Anjali are also co-accused in the case registered at Fort Kochi police station.

The complainant informed that she had been sexually assaulted a few weeks before the accident that claimed the lives of the models. The visuals of the act were recorded on a mobile phone and threatened the survivor with it to refrain from complaining.

The charge sheet regarding the deaths of the former Miss Kerala Ansi Kabeer, Miss Kerala runner-up Anjana Shajan and their friend Muhammad Ashik will be submitted this week. It comprises eight accused, including Roy Vayalatt and Saiju Thankachan. Charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence have been imposed on the accused.
