Death of fishermen in Kollam: Mystery looms as only backside of bike found to be damaged

Kollam: The city police commissioner visited the accident spot where three fishermen who arrived on a bike were found dead under mysterious conditions and collected details about the incident.

A special team of the police force also arrived at the spot for scientific inspection and collected samples. The family and relatives of the deceased Al Ameen, Mahin and Sudheer, alleged mystery in their untimely demise. The investigation was started based on the complaints raised by them.

The bike in which the men were travelling was believed to have rammed into the tetrapod seawall installed on the shore to prevent sea erosion. The people who passed by this area during their morning walk spotted the injured men and rushed them to the hospital. The bodies and the bike were found lying against the seawall.

It was hinted that the three men who were travelling on Ameen’s bike met with the accident while returning home after fishing at night. The bike does not have any damage on the front but only on the rear side. A helmet thought to have been worn by the person who was riding the bike was found on the spot.

The police have been examining the CCTV visuals to collect the details of vehicles that passed through the road where the accident took place.
