Deceased Vijayamma
Thiruvananthapuram: Sreekaryam Police has registered a case over the death of an 80-year-old woman near Kallarathala in Powdikonam here on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijayamma, a retired nursing superintendent.
The woman’s body was reportedly found under the cot inside the house. According to police, injury marks were visible on the body. Officials including forensic experts have visited the spot.
Police suspect that she was murdered about two days ago.
However, police have not made any official remarks about those claims. “We are waiting for the autopsy report to know the cause of death,” an official said.
The woman had been staying with his lone son who is differently abled.
