Data bank gets ready, Govt hospitals to access details of patients just by a click
Kochi: The state government has prepared a data bank of all patients who sought treatment at government hospitals. With this, any government hospital in the state can access details of patients from any district just by the click of a mouse.
As the new system is linked between all hospitals in the state, data transfer is quite easy. Hence, the patients will be able to get medical care at any government hospital without delay.
The health department disclosed about the new system in an affidavit submitted before the court responding to a plea seeking to develop facilities in government hospitals. Public activist Kulathoor Jai Singh submitted the plea following the death of a girl student after being bitten by a snake inside a classroom at Sarvajana school in Wayand.
It is reported that the health department prepared the data bank under Aardram project.
The state government asserted that more facilities will be made available in all government hospitals. Paediatric ventilator facility will be established in all 10 medical colleges. Intensive care unit with paediatric ventilator facility will be arranged in all district hospitals.
Special training will be provided for doctors and paramedical staff to handle snake bite cases.
