KK Rema MLA | Mathrubhumi

Thiruvananthapuram: Cyber Police has launched a preliminary enquiry based on a complaint filed by Vadakara MLA KK Rema against Sachin Dev MLA. Rema claimed she was humiliated through social media in connection with the ruckus that took place in the Kerala Assembly.

KK Rema received treatment from the hospital after injuring her hand during the protests by opposition MLAs in the state assembly. Following these events, several posts emerged on social media claiming that Vadakara MLA faked her injury. Further, several medical documents and X-Ray images also came out.

Claiming that such social media posts are fabricated lies to attack her personally, KK Rema filed a complaint before the cyber police against Sachin Dev.

Meanwhile, the officials are currently examining the scientific evidence in the case. An FIR could be filed against Sachin Dev upon the speaker's consent if documents are found to be fabricated, said an official.
