Cyber expert claims crime branch forcing him to name Dileep's lawyer in mobile tampering incident


Kochi: In a startling revelation, a cyber expert has approached the high court alleging that crime branch officials are forcing him to name Adv B Raman Pillai for destroying digital evidence in connection with the conspiracy case. Raman Pillai is the advocate of Dileep in the conspiracy case.

Sai Shankar, a Kozhikode native, filed a petition in the high court claiming that he was forced to name the advocate in the case.

Currently, the crime branch is looking at tampering of phones of the accused, including Dileep, in connection with the conspiracy case. Based on this, Sai Shankar was summoned a few days ago by the Crime Branch. He has now approached the High Court alleging that the Crime Branch is harassing him.

The court will hear Sai Shankar's petition on Monday. He has sought protection from the court.

It was clear from the Crime Branch investigation that the accused had sought Sai Shankar's help to destroy evidence. Following this, the crime branch approached Sai Shankar to know the details.

Meanwhile, the crime branch is moving ahead with the investigation. The Crime Branch is investigating what kind of service Sai Shankar provided to Dileep and what evidence has been destroyed from the phones.
