Customs have recorded statements from employees who took the parcel from air cargo section to the UAE consulate. Customs will question C-apt officials in the coming days. The religious texts were taken away from Thiruvananthapuram in a C-apt vehicle. Hence, the C-apt officials will be questioned.

Customs may register a case over the import of palm dates. Dates imported under diplomatic privileges are only for the use of consulate officials. Distributing them outside will result in the diplomatic privileges being revoked. Customs is investigating where the items, imported with diplomatic privileges, were taken.
