Criticism arises against K Surendran, V Muraleedharan; union minister boycotts meeting

Kozhikode: In protest over the debacle in the assembly election, severe criticism was raised against BJP state president K Surendran and union minister V Muraleedharan in district committee meetings.

When intense criticism arose against the leaders during online meeting in Kozhikode districts, V Muraleedharan boycotted the meet and left. Though the leaders refused to respond on this matter, party workers and leaders are criticizing both of them in all meetings, it is learnt.

There is an opinion within the party that the union minister is of no use for BJP. Also, comments on changing the party state president is heard within the party. The leaders are of the opinion that fielding K Surendran in two consistencies only intensified the depth of debacle.

Earlier, K Surendran had reacted that he had informed the central leadership about the matters which led to the debacle. He added that he is ready to accept any action. So, the party workers also expect that a new president will be appointed unexpectedly.
