Pathanamthitta: The police FIR declares that the accused in the murder of the CPM leader in Thiruvalla are BJP activists. It also points out that they attacked him with the intention to kill him.

CPM had accused that the political discord between the parties resulted in the murder of Sandeep. But the police on Friday said that the murder was driven by personal vendetta.

The five BJP workers, who arrived with dreadful weapons to execute the well-planned murder, had strong defiance against Sandeep, the FIR says.

The case was registered based on 8 different charges, including unlawful assembly, conspiracy and murder.

Sandeep was murdered on Thursday night near his house. He was stabbed by a five-member gang multiple times. He succumbed to the injuries before reaching the Thiruvalla taluk hospital. Police nabbed four accused from Alappuzha.
