Kochi: The Crime Branch alleged that the four accused, including actor Dileep, changed their mobile phones following a conspiracy case charged against them in relation to the actress attack case of 2017. The investigating officer claimed that the phone had been changed thereby tampering evidence.

When Crime Branch asked the accused to submit the mobile phones in order to collect evidence, they have presented new mobile phones. The investigating team inferred it as an attempt to deceive the officers.

Crime Branch SP Mohanachandran informed that notices were sent to the accused to produce their previously used phones. The forensic report of the digital evidence collected from the raid is yet to be received. The progress of the investigation will surface only after obtaining this, added SP.
